Getting home contents insurance for only 2 weeks?

Just wondering if it is possible to get home contents insurance for a very limited period (14 days) as we are going on holiday and there have been a few break-ins in our block of flats recently. The rest of the time someone is at home, so we feel it is not necessary. Any advice on if this is possible and if so, how much it costs?
