Cos seeing you *one* sample result vs hundreds of Asda stores helps people make an informed decision?! (& unless you say where you live, we can't make an informed decision - it might be regional & you might live near Asda, Wythenshawe but you were unlucky etc)

We still don't even know which store...so you've not even saved the legs of the few that happen to frequent the same store.

Incredibly, I'm up to 2m12secs that I'll *never* get back.

    Hank, look at me.
    Nothing.

Are you bored? Thanks for your helpful input to this thread

Whereas if I was saying "None in my local" would be helpful & worth a read?

Just be sure to tell us whether they had any (but *please* don't say which store) - I can't wait for the update.

It is helpful if you can say which store you have tried, i'm guessing there is more than one Asda in Edinburgh.

Only if you live in, or have friends or relatives there, or plan to visit Edinburgh ;)

not sure if same but we bought some uniross aa recharchable batteries in asda for £2.29p. we go through loads with the baby toys.
No they are not - the hybrio is superior, but it is superior because it retains its charge for much longer (many months), which is irrelevant in your application where the batteries need recharging very frequently.

Hybrios come into their own in things where non-rechargeables would last many months, or things which are only used occasionally.

Plenty in store in Fareham over the last 6 weeks.

The Hybrio are 'round the corner' from the normal batteries for obvious reasons.

Often the have no price label to keep sales down. The reason being the 1 sale of these might mean zero repeat sales of Durcacell.

I agree, but if people had any sense, one sale of even any alkaline battery would mean zero repeat sales of Duracell. The Duracell adverts are simply legalised lying - they compare themselves with the crappy zinc carbon batteries, which only seem to exist to allow comparisons to be made with Duracells!

  • There were about a dozen packs of AA and AAA batteries @ £3.00 that the Colindale (London) ASDA. I remember seeing them for around £10.00 when they first came out a couple of years ago thought they were too good to pass up so I got 5 packs.
    :j

They seem to be lasting longer in continuous use than the NiMH batteries they replaced so I am happy.
