Classic cat food 4x400g tins £0.01 at Tesco

Came back from my local Tesco this evening with 6 packs of "Classic" cat food, meat chunks in jelly, 4x400g tins, going through the till at £0.01p per pack.

Obviously I emptied the shelf in Exeter but may be worth a look at other Tesco stores as this price is also showing for on line shopping.

Cat enjoyed his tea even more especially as he now has 24 tins to eat.

24 tins of cat food for 6p........can't be bad

Log onto tesco and click on start shopping. From the grocery menu select house and pet section, then cat and then premium canned cat food. You will find the Classic meat selection 4 pack marked as £0.01 approx 4th down the list.

I placed an order online today but they failed to deliver this cat food so I went into my local store and found it on the shelf, took it to the till and it went through at £0.01.

Can you confirm that it is still there now ?
I've followed all instuctions as posted and it never appears on any screen I get to.

Also any chance of posting the barcode from the multipack ?
I could phone my local store to see if they have any - barcode usually makes it easier, quicker and leaves no confusion in the matter.

Is "CLASSIC" the "make" ? Like "Whiskers" ?
Or is it a Tesco own brand/label ?

this will only appear online for you if they have any in your local store to be able to deliver - if not, you won't be able to find it online. It doesn't show online for me either so obviously my local store doesn't have this at the price mentioned.

Changed my address details to EXETER and did the search again.

Butchers Classic appeared at 1p (well it did after I logged out and back in again)

Problem is how do I find a store that has some in stock ?
My "local" Tescos are Expresses - the normal Supermarkets and an Extra are 5 to 10 miles away.
I'm not sure if any do "delivery" so don't know if playing about with addresses online will be successful and even then know which store would be fulfilling the order.
Any ideas short of phoning round ?
