I have a certificate for quite a lot of Norweb Shares. Are they worth anything? They date back to the 1980's and belonged to my parents. They used to get paid dividends by them but payments stopped all of a sudden after two or three payments.
Does anyone have any advice?
Many thanks

Norweb is now part of United Utilities and has been since November 1995.
If dividends stopped well before that time, your parents must have sold their shares.
You should contact United Utilities share registrars Lloyds TSB on 0870 600 3971 to find out if the share certificates are still valid (as UU plc shares) or if the shares were sold by your parents.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0
