Citi Bank

I applied for one of their 5.9% life time balance cards approx 7/8 weeks ago and got a letter asking for a bank statement to confirm address at beginning of march. Just phoned them there and they are still processing new applications. Now I've been told I will know within the week.

Has anyone else had the same problem with Citi - it does seem really long process

Comments

  • Not really - I applied for a Shell Citi Card and an American Express platinum card at the same time. I got the Citi card a lot sooner than the American Express card, but the Citi card has got a much much smaller limit. Its almost like they didnt do a proper background check and just took an initial risk by giving me a very low limit on the card
  • Hi, Citi took there time with me as well, took over 4/6 weeks for them to say I had got it, with a £1000 limit
