Help needed.
A while ago i asked my bank to return a debit that had come out of my account. Which i am glad to say they did, and returned the money which was £78.00 to my account. Unfortunately i had another debit that came in for £90.00 which they paid, then charged me £25.00. Then a day or so later they took £78.00 from my account. Which left me over drawn. When i queried it, i was told that i had been credited £78.00 twice and that they were taking back their money.. So i asked why i wasn't notified and they said they tried to ring me and left a message on my voice message. I was really mad because it had'nt been my mistake...On checking my account i realsied i was credited twice in the space of two weeks..Surely this can't be my fault!!
My account is still overdrawn and they are going to charge me a further £120.00 for being overdrawn....I can't pay any money into the account as my money is very tight..What can i do!! I have already written to them, and they seem to be ignoring my letters!!!
Please Please help!!

Its still your fault. Whilst the bank credited you twice in error and then debited the duplicate back, it is still your responsibility to only draw funds that you have.

Doesn't mean you can spend the money though. You know it isn't yours. The bank may have made an error in the double credit but you also made the error in deciding to make a withdrawal against money that wasn't yours.
If the bank hadn't made the error then you would still be in the position you are now so the bank has not made you financially worse off.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
