I AM SOOOO MAD WITH GMTV AND CANNOT BELIEVE THAT LORRAINE KELLY WOULD DO THIS TO US.
I CANNOT UNDERSTAND WHY THIS WOULD BE DONE WITH SUCH A PERSONAL MATTER THAT HAS BEEN TAKEN SO SERIOUSLY BY GMTV IN THE PAST. I'M FURIOUS THAT THEY COULD BE SO CRUEL.0 -
Come on, I watched this this morning and it was quite clearly an April Fools Day prank. The 'fat' woman very obviously had a fat suit on, did you see the shape of her, they padded her top half and did a bad job on the arms, they only padded down to her elbows she looked ridiculous, and her lower half didn't match.
What annoyed me about this was that the 'beauty expert' on the sofa was advising people to make an appointment to see their doctor before trying something like this cream out, so I bet vulnerable oversized people up and down the country are going to be wasting their doctors time making appointments!
Not the best April Fools Day stunt GMTV have performed really!
p.s. Martin you were brilliant on the sofa once again0 -
Quite clearly an April fools with the bad fat suit and the horrendous actress but in very poor taste I'm afraid cosidering GMTV are such pioneers of weight loss and the support needed throughout. As Lorraine is very aware it's very difficult to lose weight and this prank just seemed to me to mock anyone who finds it hard to maintain their ideal weight. Every overweight woman in the country knows they will try anything to help their situations and this ridiculed that and played on vulnerable women of the UK. Bad,bad taste guys.0

This made me really annoyed, I have an illness which makes exercising difficuilt, I eat pretty much a balanced diet and this cream if it was real would have helped. I feel very strongly that LK Today should give a public appology for this very poor april fools joke.0

Yes I totally agree. Some people will probably beleive this was a wonder cream then go off and make a doctors appointment, thus wasting a valuable appoinment for a patient who really needed to see a doctor.
Of course it was an april fool, but I thought they could have done something better, it was plain to see the woman was wearing a fat suit thing. GMTV, sorry but if any of you are reading this your April fool stunt was fairly c*rap, even my Daughter saw it wasnt real0 -
 Yes the So-Tox cream is no miracle, but an upsetting and offensive April Fool. If you click for more info it pops up a window that says April Fool.
In very poor taste to poke fun at overweight people! If any body agrees with me, then e-mail your complaints off to itv as I have, I bet they recieve a few today!0 -
I agree that this was cruel and unthoughtful. It seems from a lot of threads that people believed this scam, because it wasn't a joke. Jokes are funny. I have complained to gmtv and also to oftel. I've never complained to oftel before, but I felt this was in such bad taste, targetting vulnurable people, that it warranted it.
Everybody who feels disgusted with Lorraine Kelly and co should do the same.
As for Lorraine Kelly herself, she should hang her head in shame.0 -
The people on the next page are idiots.0

Oh dear God people stop your moaning and get a grip!!!! It was an April Fools.......i am not a stick insect and i dont care,am not offended etc etc - okay not hilarious...other networks have done funnier things in the past (spaghetti trees - classic!) but still....enter into the spirit of things , people!!
Really anyone who honestly believed that this was real - losing stones of weight in a couple of weeks deserves to made to feel stupid and look a fool! grrrrrrrrrr - some people just HAVE to moan dont they PMSL......and how strange that most the angry posters on this thread are newbies - hmmmm perhaps ONE disgruntled new member trying to make a point Methinks....!!!!!!
Two Words....Chill Out!  :rolleyes:Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?0
