Citibank - paying in at Lloyds TSB

I was under the impression that if you pay in cash through a Lloyds TSB branch it took 3-4 working days according to Citibanks literature?

I paid some cash in earlier, have just checked my Internet banking and it is shown, and available :)

Does anyone know when this changed?

And as a bonus the cashier credited £10 too much to the account lol :D When I say cashier, her badge said 'Branch Manager' so hopefully she won't be in too much trouble for her float not balancing lol.

Technically Citibank account numbers are LloydsTSB account numbers as the sort code belongs to LloydsTSB. This proberbly explains the immediate available of funds.

THey used to take forever to clear funds. This is clearly an improvement.

Anyone been able to check that this is still the case? I can pay money into either Citi or Lloyds, but Lloyds is much closer to where I work, and it would save me a 15 min walk :D

I have paid in cash since to try it out and it took the usual 3-4 days.

Maybe I just got lucky when it went in instantly :D

I've just paid a cheque into my Citibank account at LloydsTSB today. I don't think the counter assistant knew about free deposits for Citibank customers at LloydsTSB as she read all the writing in the front cover of the paying in slip book etc. :D
