The forum has helped so much already in all the ways you describe-when your confidence is shaky and you are feeling quite isolated with your thoughts and worries or preoccupations-it's invaluable to feel the support and understanding of others who are experiencing or have experienced similar feelings and situations. I can't thank you all enough and I wish you continued progress with all aspects of your own situation. Warmest wishes x

Your message was very much appreciated Angel-I can identify very strongly with the situation you describe and some of the emotions that go with it. I think what you say about having to get past the feeling that "it has all been for nothing", is right-and sometimes difficult, depending on how able you are to cultivate and sustain a positive frame of mind-especially at the beginning of the process anyway.

    Hi Faeriequeen,

Thanks for that..it helps so much when someone else knows just what you are feeling...thats why this site is so valuable. When I get low (& today has been one of those days!) I have to remind myself that is better to regret the things I have done rather than the things I have`nt....even though I failed with this house.

Got upset today & had to go & drive by the potential rental property...feel so unsure of everything just now!!! Speaking to CCCS again on Monday so hope will crystalize my thinking.

Faeri have a look at Scarlett's BR diary. It's a fantastic read and Scarlett is a very inspirational lady.

It must have been very tough for you today, Angel-I think all those different conflicting emotions are exhausting-uncertainty, regret, sadness on the one hand and then wanting to stay positive and hopeful and rational on the other. I think it must be important to acknowledge everything you feel to eventually be able to come out the other side, having learned something valuable.
I suppose it's all a big learning curve really-not achieving the outcome you would have wanted, in spite of good and honest intentions ,may feel like failure but, as you suggest, you were at least trying to achieve something and couldn't anticipate that it would work out the way it did. We're all fallible, as others have told me. I do believe that it has to be about what we actually learn from things ultimately, and the degree to which we can derive something positive from difficult experiences. Not always an easy or fast process, I know, and I'm certainly still at the stage of coming to terms with things- but the same seems true for all life experiences, not just the particular experience of bankruptcy and its consequences.
I hope your call to the cccs helps and that you will soon feel more serene and confident about things.
I realise I may sound a bit crazed-but I was thinking of going to meditation classes in a local Buddhist centre to help with getting more clarity of mind and perspective on things-I'll let you know if I get there-and the outcome!

Take good care of yourself x Thanks Waspeze and tiger feet for your comments too-I'm going to read Scarlett's diary now, as you suggest.

    Thank Faerie,

What you say has really helped...in many ways this is a complete life change for me. Financially always managed to get by. This project just tipped the balance & I don`t feel i have enough `fight` left in me..although I often try & `laugh` it off with a bit of humour but those feelings of despair are another matter & never far from the surface.

Anyway, interesting about the meditation ..one of my friends suggested it also. Let me know how it goes..
