BT Service Charges

I am currently looking into changing my BT land line and am doing some research into what is on offer. My question is, do other providers have service charges like BT. For example my BT bill for last quarter has something like £40 of service charges, and cost of calls was £35, would other providers do this?

I've looked at Talk Talk 3 for example and it says £7.49 per month, and £10.50 line rental. So would my bill be £17.99 or would there be additional service charges?

It'd be £17.99

However before you decide to move elsewhere just ensure that you're not still under any contracts with BT.

How do the service charges breakdown ? if their for calling features and bundles yes other suppliers are likely to charge for them.

I've had a look at my bill and the charges are:

BT Together Option £37.02
Calling Features £4.46
