Ring cushion...

Hi everyone - Do any of you have an alternative idea for carrying the wedding rings other than a ring cushion? My 8yr old son will be carrying them - his special job ;) He wants a cushion but the ones I have looked at on ebay all seem a bit girly...
All ideas appreciated :D

Thanks

Hi Tracy, what about a small platter or tray like thing. I have to say my Niece carried a tiny basket which looked sweet, but knowing boys I'm not so sure that would work. I thinks the cushions look so girly because most are white, cream, pink and froufrou. The only other thing I can think of is a nice box, which he could open at the appropriate moment.

On the theme of what Grebe said, I keep seeing this dish in art and design blogs, really pretty.

Thanks everyone - MsChazzer that bowl is fab!! I think that maybe the answer. Although my little boy is not worried about the frilly cushion - that was his idea but he also wanted to wear a pageboy sailor suit - should I be worried  :rotfl: :rotfl:

I didn't ask my brothers to be pageboys as I thought they'd think it was a bit sad (they will be 12 and 13 by then) but they offered themselves. I've said they can be ushers in case they change their minds over the next year, it's not a particularly formal wedding but I wanted them to feel part of it.

My younger brother went through a suit wearing obsession a while back, he'd go running about on the beach in a shirt and tie! Like Grebe said, long live the individual!

I think its also having the chance to wear something their never going to get chance to wear again... It's ok for little girls to go round dressed up in frilly 'princess' dresses any time but boys are discouraged from showing any interest in that...

    Hiya

I had the same problem at my wedding. My pageboy was 3 and I thought that it would look far to frilly for him so I went out and bought a plain teddy and got a thickish chocolate brown ribbon put around its neck then got a very thin ribbon the same colour to tie the rings on so it matched the colour scheme but the thicker ribbon could stay on. It looked fab and he got to keep the teddy. I dont know if this idea is too old for your pageboys but i thought that it would be something to keep in mind x
