Help! How much do we offer with O/O

Hi,
I am new to this website but desperately need some help!
We currently live in a 2 bedroom semi-detached house in the Livingston Area of Scotland.
We went to see a 3 bedroom detached house tonight and fell in love with it. We have been looking for a house for over a year and this is the 1st one thats made us feel like this. It is on the market at O/O £179,000. The sellers arent looking to move out till August and we haven't put ours on the market yet but they do sell really fast and we dont want to sell ours until we have an offer accepted as we dont want to be homeless with 3 young children.
When we bought our current house it was a new build so this is all new to us and dont have a clue where to start.
The property only came on the market today and there are already 5 viewings lined up for this week. Do we put in a note of interest? Do we make an offer? What would we offer?
We desperately need advice.
Thanks
scottbeth

have you got a rightmove link?
get your solicitor to put a note of interest in, then that way if it goes to a closing date then you will have time to get an offer in, however you could go straight in with a offer as soon as you have viewed0 -
My friend recently bought a house for £210k that was offers over £165k. That was in the outskirts of Aberdeen though.OD Girls On TourBarcelona 2008 - Dublin 20090

I stay in Edinburgh, and houses in my area go on for about offers over £125k and sell for about £155k, they are 2 bedroom semi-detatched. That works out at 24% over the asking price, and they dont tend to stay on the market for long.0
