Cash advance fee??? HELP!!

It's just happened to me in France. Stayed at a small hotel, had a room and dinner. Got home and find a Cash Advance fee and interest on my cc account. CC company tell me if they have a gambling licence or had one in the past even, then I get charged. Hotel has assured me they have no gambling licence and do not know why I have been charged.0

And are you taking it laying down (if you'll pardon the expression!), or have you registered a formal complaint for them to investigate matters?Got home and find a Cash Advance fee and interest on my cc account. oh, france, OK so no one has found this in england then!!
I think you need to complain to your CC company that you have checked and there isn't and has never been any gambling/fruit machines/anything at that establishmentKavanne
