Kaupthing & icesave banks

Can anyone tell me if Kaupthing & Icesave are of the same Banking Institution. I am interested to know because the FSCS would only garantee the first £35000 of savings, even if £35000 were invested in both banks ie a total of £70000 for one customer.

), Iceland's biggest bank, whereas Icesave is operated by Landsbanki, Iceland's third largest bank. 0
