(Not sure if this is the most appropriate forum - pleae move it if not.)
My beloved 20 year old 14" Sony TV (bought with 1st real pay packet) is finally dying, so I need something new for the bedroom
Not too big - 19" or less.
And I don't need a particularly good tv - I have a good one downstairs for serious viewing
Needs 2 Scarts, or one scart and one composite, or one scart and one component.
Digital tuner not needed (on cable)
HD not necessary (at that size, who could tell?)
I don't want to spend a fortune on something very good quality, but equally well I don't want to waste £100 on some complete piece of tat.
£100-200 ideal, maybe more if it is good bagain...
Anyone have any recommendations?
Either a make which is cheap, but not tat, a specific model, or even a specific bargain....
Neal

I've just spent some time looking at 19" tv's, bought an orion for the kids bedroom as it has dvd and digital receiver for £200 but the nicest looking tv I have seen was this one, looks great, nice picture and decent brand:

I bought the technika 19" from Tesco with built in freeview and DVD player for £229.
Having gone around most of the shops it was the best combination of deal and quality I could find.
Lovely picture and it plays anything you throw at it - including divx etc.
Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it or buy another one!0 -
This Samsung seems decent for £125 - http://www.ebuyer.com/product/1189900
