HSBC foreign Money transfer?

Hi i need to make a payment to a HSBC account in the states would it be quicker to do it from my HSBC account? What is the charge i know with Nationwide its £20 also has anyone used the online payment service they offer to foreign transfers? I am needing to sent £1200 asap many thanks in advance

    It is £20 and this can be done via online banking (click on the account you want to transfer money from and select "send money overseas" on the left hand-side menu). The service is available from 08.00 to 15.30 UK local time. Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays).

    It is very straight forward. Just make sure you enter the correct details (i.e. SWIFT code, account details etc). It should take about 3-5 working days but normally it's just 3 working days.
