Watch out for added extras to broadband bill

Hi all
This is my first post, but I needed to make sure people were aware of something that I got caught out with this month.
My broadband package is £15 a month and include 40 meg download. I knew this, but was never told what happens after this limit. I thought I might get a warning or something.
Anyway, I spent some time checking out bbc iplayer and watching some stuff on youtube last month and that must have pushed my usage up. It added an extra £12 to my bill! I know this isnt a lot, but I feel this a real scam, as I cant have gone over by that much.
I would advise anyone with a limit to make sure they check there t's and c's, so you dont get caught out like me.

All depends upon the ISP.
I was on a 20GB cap crept over a couple of times by 2or 3 Gig no problems and no extra on the bill . Most ISPs tell you how much you pay for going over the limit .
If you have started downloading of iplayer etc you should consider a no cap product or at least one with higher than 40gb .
I recently asked my ISP for a Mac transfer code as i had thought of moving ISP taken over by the dreaded Tiscali and cap was looking a bit small since iplayer and more4 onstream . Back came a reply stay and they would knock £5 a month of my bill plus give me two free months and a free router if i stayed for twelve months . Probably due to the fact that they are trying to retain customer numbers as Tiscali is up for sale .
Might be worth a try and a MAC code does not have to be used and expired within two weeks or so .
