OH MY GOD £380 bill
We have just recieved a £380 elec bill for this quarter.
We work full time and only really in during the evening and weekends.
We dont have gas which is why i can appreciate it may be higher that usual but surely this must be a mistake?
We have economy 7 which is crap because the water is never fully hot so we do use the boost button once a day.
Elec company is EDF has anybody been incorrectly billed before and know how much chance i might have of getting some money back?

Yes we have had an extremely high electricity bill for over £300 too and we're in a 1 bedroom apartment! The previous bill was £120. It doesn't seem possible. We are with E-on.0

jgallcash, so what is your actual use?
Are the Kw hours correct or is it estimated?
If the power used is correct then your gripe is against cost not unfair billing
If incorrect billing, tell them your reading and get the real cost sent to you
If the power used is correct then the solution regarding consumption is in your hands, which may not be what you want to hearGardener’s pest is chef’s escargot0 -
The UK average bill is over £1000 a year.
That includes those who have gas. Electricity is more expensive; especially if you use daytime rates for some heating.
You use far more electricity in the 2 winter quarters.
So £380 in a winter quarter in an all electric house is not unexpected IMO.
As said above, it is not clear what you feel is wrong!
Used too much electricity?
Charged too much?
Wrongly estimated meter readings?
If the latter, it could of course mean you have to pay more!!!0
