Service charges, Council right to buy.

I'm about to buy my (soon to be ex), council flat, as a stock transfer to a new social landlord is happening.
(1) Does anyone have any advice on the RTB process?
(2) My service charge fees seem ridicously high, any advice on querying/reducing them?


  • The cost of the property has nothing to do with it. As an ex council tenant, I'll be paying more than people 100 yards away are paying, for newer, (in some cases 3 years old), better maintained, private residences administered by a Management company.
