Glasgow to Manchester by bus

I just wondered if anyone has travelled from Glasgow to Manchester by bus.
We're flying from Manchester on 28th June at 9.30 pm and were originally going to drive from Glasgow and park at one of the airport car parks. I had a look at flights and trains and they all seemed really expensive but National Express is only £95 return for five of us.
This is to travel from Glasgow Buchanan Street straight to Manchester Airport and although it's nearly 6 1/2 hours on the bus this is probably our best option as we return at 4.30 am and don't fancy driving home at this time of the morning.
Did try to get a quote from Megabus but they only go up to the end of May and they don't go to the airport.
Just wondered if anyone had travelled to Manchester Airport by bus and is it straightforward enough?
Thanks for any help you can give me, never travelled from Manchester before.

I'm sure you - or someone - has asked this question before.
The train fares you are getting will be very expensive, yes - you are trying to book too early. The cheap fares aren't out yet.
I would imagine National Express will still be a bit cheaper though, and won't involve any changes0 -

Which OP, you might find useful. But yeah national express to manchester airport is convenient. the coaches just go to the central station which is where the trains arrive, and from there its all linked to the terminals using moving walkways.0
