Double Debited on a Holiday!

Hi All,
Wonder if you could help, any would be greatly appreciated. Recently, I booked a holiday for my partner and I. I booked it with the company lowcostbeds.com, that we found on teletextholidays.co.uk. When we decided to book we were told the minimum deposit to book the holiday would be the price of the flights, plus 25% of the accomodation. This was fine and I told them to debit the amount from my card. Minutes later she told me that she had made a mistake and something along the lines of "forgotten to take a tick box out" and therefor I had been mistakenly charged for the flights twice. It looks something like this on my mini statement.
28 Mar lowcostbeds.com -£374
28 Mar Monarch airlines -£307
This was last Saturday 22nd March. The company therefore owes me £307. She said she had refunded the money on 22nd March, the same day. Today I phoned again as the money is still not in. I find out the refund can take up to 14 days to go back in to my account, so obviously they are within that boundary until Sat 5th April, which is fine if I wasn't 300 quid down for 14 days, is there anything I can do about this to get the money quicker, I think its highly unfair that I should be without this valuable money for 14+ days just because it was their mistake, I am strapped now for cash. All they have said is "we'll chase it for you". Please help!
Thanks,
Adam

What do your bank/card issuer say ?
In all honesty I haven't asked! I just figured they'd take a bit of a "thats nothing to with us, its between you and the company" kind of attitude. Do you think I should consult them for advice? It's always darkest before the dawn.

This happened to me when I booked flights with jet2 using my debit card (to avoid paying silly prices when using a credit card).and like you left me financially embaressed for a good week or so.Then to add insult to injury they refunded the FULL ammount back into my account and cancelled the original booking meaning I had to rebook after the fares had been increased.Total cost of exercise £120. My bank said to put pressure on Jet2 but I object to paying for premium rate phone calls to correct their mistake. You will get the money refunded and hopefully without them cancelling your holiday!0
