Stupid Question about Bathroom Lighting

OK, I have to ask a really basic question so no laughing. :p

I have to buy some new light fittings as some of mine are on the blink (literally). For the bathroom, can I buy any light fitting? It currently has a three-spotlight fitting which looks exactly the same as the fitting in my spare room, so I assume any light fitting is ok in a bathroom. But just wanted to make sure there aren't bathroom specific ones because of the water/steam....

Not a stupid question at all and one that's worth asking.
The electrical wiring regulations split bathrooms up into "zones". Lights should have an "IP rating" suitable for the zone it is to be placed in.
See http://www.diydata.com/electrics/bathroom_electrics/bathroom_electrics.php for guidelines. Maybe someone can confirm if the zones remain the same in the latest IEEE regs?

OK, the current light fitting in the bathroom is next to the bath (within 0.6m but not directly above), on the ceiling, which is 2.3m tall. I'm not quite sure if that's zone 2 or 3, or what I need.

Going to B&Q etc at the weekend to buy fittings - is there something specific I should look for on the boxes?

I need four fittings - kitchen, bathroom, hallway and a bedroom. Any guidance required for kitchen, or just bathroom?

They'll all be put up by an electrician you'll be pleased to know so I'll make sure he double checks that I bought something suitable. :) But I'd rather not have to run out on the day for a replacement....
