Ordered a new TV from the above, OH wanted me to use a 'well known' company so searched web, got a good price rang Dixons and got them to match. This was last Wednesday (26/3/08) with delivery organised for today (31/3/08).
Was advised an email confirming delivery would arrive shortly, when it didn't and following numerous phone calls to them, to cut a long and boring story short, I was finally rang whilst I was out on Sunday to advise they had no stock in the area and it was coming from another part of the UK and delivery would be this Friday (4/4/08). As I had paid £50 for delivery and installation within 5 working days, this was clearly in breach of this so I sent them a furious email asking for a refund of this charge or I would cancel. I gave them to 4pm today to sort it.
Whilst nosing on the web I found the TV had been reduced again by the original company I wanted to buy from. Checked their reviews and they seem pretty decent.
So decided I wouldn't even give Dixons the chance to deal with it. Rang Dixons who advised me they weren't sure if they could cancel the order! I told them they were in breach of the order I'd placed and I would refuse delivery if necessary.
Few minutes later got a call back saying order had been cancelled and refund was being made.
Rang internet company and for £20 more than Dixons they are delivering tomorrow!!!:j So a huge:money: for RGB Direct and a huge  to Dixons for their crap service.

did you go through quidco with your purchase ?0
-
No I didn't as you have to ring them to price match - their web price was £200 more than the other shop. I haven't even got the luxury of the quidco cashback to make me feel better :-)
