refund to expired debit card

hi,
i recently had some money refunded from one of my sharedealing accounts, into my bank account. Part of it was as a BACS transfer into my current account, and the rest was refunded as via the debit card i originally used for payment.
i have received the BACS part, but not the debit card refund... i have contacted the stockbroker and they say that debit card refunds take a bit longer than BACS... however i am a litle concerned, as the debit card actually expired a few weeks ago.
so my question is, what happens if you pay with a debit card while it is still valid, but it subsequently expires before the date of attempted refund? do the banks still process such refunds?
thanks

Don't worry. Your card number is still the same. It is the card that is expiring not your account. If you're still worried, you may want to call the bank.0

thanks - but thing is the visa card number is different on my new card0

Then you may need to contact the merchant who is processing the refund. Usually old card numbers are linked to the current one.0
