Real Audio to MP3 / WMA - free way of doing?

Hi

As title suggests is there any way of converting Real Audio to Mp3 or WMA format for free? I know there are a few software products out there that can do this, but they charge.

Alternativly is there a good multi codec player for pocket pc that can handle real audio? I have Real Audio player for pocket pc, but think its not that great.

You could always play the real media file, and use sound recorder (set to record "stereo mix") to record it at the same time. Save this file as a wav, and then there are many programs to convert wav's to mp3's.
Its a longwinded method, but it works.

akram audio convertor gives you ten free conversions and then you need to buy it. It's very cheap anyway, only £10 or so if I remember correctly. I can highly recommend it.

If you have Nero already installed on your PC, you could download a multi plug-in pack such as THIS ONE and then use Nero to convert from one format to another.

Excellent idea, never thought of using Nero.
