- Can I have music in the background when I record my singing performance?
No, you cannot have any background music, we do allow instruments playing in your video but will have to be played by yourself. If you're using any musical instrument then we require you to show this on your video performance. You also CAN NOT mime to a background music and record a video. Anybody who breaches these rules would be deleted from our contests immediately.
this is because they want to judge on voice alone, but, the winning one so far has music in the background;......not being petty, but, this surely should be banned? so - i emailed them to bring it to their attention and got the following reply;-
Thanks for your query, we understand that those video's are breaching our
site policy. We are aware of this and all of those users that you have
mentioned have emailed us to get our permission. We are looking into
changing our competition rules and for sure from next months competition
will amend our current policy statement.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you still having concerns.
SURELY THESE SHOULD STILL BE BANNED? IM NOT BEING PETTY BUT, IF MY DAUGHTER IS KNOCKED OFF THE TOP SPOT BY SOMEONE WHO IS BREAKING THE RULES I FIND THAT SOOO UNFAIR
ANY THOUGHTS?
THANKS....

who exactly is going to ban it?
cant you just email them a new video with background music given they have moved the goalposts?
seems more like a money maker from premium phone lines tbh
i would be concerned its easily rigged in many ways0 -
thanks custardy.....but;- it is all done online and no phone costs involved....
also - voting is now finished and no uploading, etc, allowed so the winner has got away with an unfair advantage....
i honestly think this was some sort of scam and i am willing to go all the way till i sort it or get it fixed....
its soo not fair.....im not being petty though just because my daughter didnt win because, to be fair, there was a young girl on singing falling by alecia keys and she had a gorgeous voice....- expected her to win....but, funny her votes never did show....0 -
She came 2nd! That's pretty good!
And given that we're only talking about 17 votes here to win, it's not really a huge competition.
She should just enter another time and use backing music if the other girl has, and if they tell you that it's against the rules, point out that the previous winner used it.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0
