Transfer from Airport to Soller, Majorca

Can anyone recommend the best way of getting from Palma Airport to Soller on Majorca. Bit of a problem in that our flight isn't due to land until 21:50 local time and as far as I can see the trains and buses have finished by that time.

Many thanks for any advice

  • taxi's may be v dear that time of night, esp when trains (AND buses?) have stopped..?

might be worth boooking into a cheap hotel in Palma / Palma Nova for the night.. next day take the scenic train to Soller - was quite cheap when we last went, but that was a while ago!

    alternative- hire a car?

    Have a look at www.resorthoppa.com

Also both Easyjet and Ryanair have transfer services on their sites.

    Booked rental car.

Taxi worked out at around £50 each way. Cost £43 to hire a little Clio or such-like (plus bit of petrol) so even if it's parked up for the 3 days of our stay still works out cheaper.

    Thanks for replies

Glad to hear you chose to hire a car. We are going to Soller town in July and have been trying to work out whether to hire a taxi £50 each way or hire a car. Can you tell me which car hire company you used?

    Thank you

I have found this company to be the cheapest for Spain. Plus if you hire for only a short period they will provide the petrol full/full rather than the rip-off full/empty.

If your flights are during the daytime, unlike the OP, it is easy to get to Soller and Puerto Soller by public transport. Bus is quickest and cheapest. Train and tram for different views and nostalgia.
