There are travel agents/travel agent desks in some airports.
Would say pick an airport and go there.

Good advice given before I would go down to Travel Agent they have all the contacts. Tell them you and kids not leaving till something booked. That's what I did, tongue and cheek but she soon found me something, as kids runing riot in the shop:rotfl: Good luck

If I knew the pin number to my credit card I would be doing just that.

Does it have to be out of this country? Why not take them Youth Hosteling? Some are 3 or 4 star these days, the children have space and there's always somehing to do nearby. At most you can book a family room. The meals are cheap and good or cook your own in the members kitchen.
BTW you don't have to be a member to use them.

    Just some advise from experience.

I needed to get away quick once and didn't know my CC pin. I phoned them up and asked for money to be transferred via moneygram to my local PO. I then went to PO and collected money within an hour or so. They were really good and quick.

(I stated that I needed cash but couldn't withdraw)

There's a site called "The villa Holiday Centre". I have got the number 01425 484430 from their site. It might be worth giving them a call as I think they are an agency for a number of villas worldwide. Maybe there will be a vacant one they'd be more than happy to let you have.

The only time I travelled at such short notice, I found the flight by walking into a local travel agent.

As for the PIN problem: see if the CC company can give you a reminder on-line or by telephone. Or, once the agent has found a flight explain the problem, and see if they can find a solution. Most products sold in branches can also be booked on-line, it is just finding it that is the problem.

Don't forget that you will need some spending money when you are there!
