Ford Focus Mystery Unlocking Boot!

Evening all

On setting off with the family today I noticed that the 'door open' warning light was on when I got in the car. Having just put something in the boot, I didn't think anything of it. However, the warning light light came on three more times on the journey, and I had to stop each time to clip the boot back in.

The car is a 2005 '05' Focus LX. Anyone else come across this problem? Any ideas on how to solve it?

Cheers

Wally

    Common fault..try the following

Open the boot and undo the three large Torx screws down on the 'striker' near the bumper inside the boot. Slighty move the striker down and tighten them up again. This will cause the boot to be held down more firmly and might sort your problem.

Have you h'actually checked to see if all doors were shut...?

Failing that find out which striker plate it is and adjust accordingly as above...
