I buy my stuff online to avoid the holes that the tags leave behind and the red dots on the tag.:smileyhea Proud Mummy of 2 :smileyheaTotally addicted to Boots glitches & the Next sales!0

It amazes me that they haven't cottoned on to the tag thing yet - its been the same for years so surely they have had complaints about it? They must have a lot of waste because of it. I learned the hard way to keep an eye out for these holes as we dont have a Next in our town so not easy for me to return stuff. Many a time I have got in the queue to pay and I have remembered and had to put half of the stuff back!
Also does anyone else think that their kids clothes are small fitting? I do like Next clothes for my 9yr old but am struggling now to get stuff that fits her widthways and I dont consider her fat by any means. She just isnt skinny!0 -
My 2 are 3 and 16 months so at the moment I find these sizes quite large fitting but I guess it could be different as the sizes go up.
I read on another thread about Next on here that a lady complained to customer services about items being tagged leaving a hole on the clothes and apparently she got a voucher back off them to apologise. So it may be worth putting a complaint in if it bothers you.:smileyhea Proud Mummy of 2 :smileyheaTotally addicted to Boots glitches & the Next sales!0 -
I actually did find that they were bigger fitting when she was a baby so maybe it is just as they get older.0

Oooo that's good! My little fella turned 1yr on tues and still not in 9-12 months yet! Was rather concerned even though health visitor said he is great etc!0 -

I think things just get cut skinnier as they get bigger.
My three (boys) are 2, 4.5 and almost 7. The youngest, who is a little chunky, still wears his size, the middle one who is like a rake wears a size up (5-6) because of height, and the eldest, who is 'average' but tall, normally wears one size up (7-8) but actually has had to go to 8-9 in Next trousers and shirts (t-shirts still are ok at 7-8) because of width issues.
You can't win with sizing anywhere though - I actually have clothes in their wardrobes, and currently in use, in all sizes from 1.5-2 through to 9-10 - all fitting pretty much the same to the respective children
I didn't get anything from this sale - I had my eyes on a couple of pairs of boots for the elder two, but they'd gone by the time the sale started, and the boyswear is never well represented in the sales.DFW Nerd no. 884 - Proud to [strike]be dealing with[/strike] have dealt with my debts0 -

Me too. My daughter is 10 months and is still wearing Next size 3-6 months, just going into 6-9 months in some of their bits, their sizes are rather roomy!
My niece is 7 and not fat but not skinny, she is in larger Next sizes so it does seem to change once you get into the 3 yr + stuff.0 -
I know someone who works in a Next store- he told me that around Sale seasons they get a load of new - cheap clothes in, just to put in the sale. They hope that everyone gets sale-crazy and buys everything, assuming that it will be good quality... How cheeky of them!0

they have started doing kids plus sizes in the directory...good for me as my 7 year old daughter is in age 10 clothes for the waist as she is quite chunky(not fat tho)0
