Gumbet Holiday Isis Hotel

Hi guys

Im going on holiday to gumbet in April and was wondering what its like and if anyone can recommend places to go or visit?

Just wondering if anyone has stayed in the Club Isis Hotel as thats where ive booked and read some mixed reviews!

Hi,

I'm also taking my family there from 14th April. I too saw the mixed reviews and I think it may depend on if you stay in the none refurbished club rooms. There seems to be two types of accommodation, Club (holiday village) or Residence (5* hotel itself). This place also has it's own website and I can find link for you if you can't find it. Who is your agent for this trip?

Ive seen the website and it looks lovely but am just concerned by the reviews. Im going on the 20th of April the week after you. Do you know which room your staying in? Is there any way we can request the 5*? Im going with Teletext, how bout you?

Hi,

We booked our holiday through Qwerty Travel in Woking, but I believe they also advertise through teletext. However, it's YOUtravel that is managing my hotel booking and you can find some information on their website about the different rooms you can book. We are staying in sea view rooms, but you can also get garden view.

I read that 60% of the accommodation had been refurbished and so my agent has at least requested no smoking rooms in the refurbished section.

To be honest, I found it very difficult to select a destination or hotel based on all those reviews as there is always someone complaining about something.

If I don't like the accommodation when I get there, then I shall just request an upgrade even if I have to pay for it.

So I guess you must be back from Gumbet now and am wondering wht you thought of it. My family were happy enough with the hotel, but it was the building site around it that was the problem. Also, it was too early in the season when we went and very little in Gumbet was open and so we made it to Bodrum a couple of times. At least the weather was great :-)

Even though we only went the week after you most of Gumbet had either opened or was opening but still happy to let you look around. The weather was lovely until the last day. The hotel staff done alot of work during the week when we were there re-planting flowers, painting etc. The hill was a killer thank god for the golf buggy. The building work didnt bother us too much unlike the animation team. Got some bargains tho! Overall I thought it was a good holiday. Hope you enjoyed yours!
