Ikea wine bottle opener-how does it work??

Quick trip round Ikea this pm to get some storage for DD's bedroom, when I saw a pile of boxes containing a real "boys toy" that i knew DH would love. Its one of the wine bottle openers, where you lift the handle, insert neck of bottle, bring the handle down and then back up and voila wine opened. Only this one has a big wooden handle and a plate to screw it to the wall - serious looking piece of kit. So I got the drill out as soon as we got home to put the thing up to surprise DH when he got home - looks great - only it doesn't work (or possibly I've done something wrong) there were no instructions, but it looked straightforward enough. The problem is of course, that when you put the bottle in and pull the handle down, the corkscrew just pushes the bottle back out - there's no resistance to force the corkscrew into the cork, I ended up jamming a piece of wood under the bottle - hardly the look I was going for. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I've done wrong, cause blowed if we can see how it works

I think its the same thing/idea. I did hold the bottle (have to or it would fall to the floor) but the force of the handle pushing down makes it impossible to keep the bottle in place (even for ex-rugby playing husband) hence the improvised piece of wood. Its bizarre0

Where you supposed to attach it to the wall bottle height above a surface?Murphy's No More Pies Club #209
