prob a stupid Q

can you put business post in normal post boxes?

as i dont have enough post to warrant a collection, i just tend to put it in the postbox near my office, but a friend has said that business post, has to be taken to an actual post office and put in with the 'business post'

seems a bit strange to me, how can the PO tell whats inside an envelope, to know whether its business post or not?

I'm sure my DH puts his franked mail into normal letterboxes.

If it's just stamped, of course they can't know what's in it.

There's a postbox near my work (an area that's full of offices and industrial units) that's specifically for franked mail. The opening is large enough to fit parcels, so I'm guessing that its purpose is to encourage DIY costing. I don't think there's any 'thou shalt' to it though..

Yes, although I think RM prefer it to be in one of the special bags ( I think it's a red bag for 1st and a green one for 2nd) although I used to work for a woman and I just put the franked mail in the postbox as normal - never had any problem.

I just pop in now and then.... :)
