Help needed with Gardman Poly greenhouse

Hi, I know one or two of you here have the Gardman Poly-glass greenhouse (Alan O'Brien is one if I recall correctly) and wondered if I could get some advice please?

Having erected the base and frame some months ago (and since lost the intructions) I'm now ready to install the poly glazing being as it's such a lovely afternoon here! :D

Trouble is I can't figure out how to do it :o

I've got the black liquorice-type beading and all the clips but do I install it from the inside or outside? What would really help me would be if I could see a close-up photo, if at all possible, of how it looks when finished so I know what I'm aiming to achieve :A

Thankyou!

I guess everyone is also taking advantage of the lovely weather and are out in their gardens instead of on the PC :(:p

Funnily enough I've just come in from a full day repairing my Gardman G'hse with the twin wall poly glazing.

Ok firstly you glaze it from the outside but before you get to that point the rubber beading needs to be fitted to to each window.

When you look from the outside in you will see a little ridge running down the side of each window, the rubber beading needs cutting to length and pushing onto that ridge. Get a bucket of water with a good dose of washing up liquid in it and dunk the rubber before you push it onto the ridges, makes it much easier.

Fit the roof first, work back to the door from the far end, use step ladders, make sure you have capped only the bottom edge of the roof glazing and pushed one of the metal clips on before fitting the green plastc cap, widest side out.

The roof pieces need pushing into the slot under the ridge, I strongly suggest you get some more wire clips from Wilkinson, 99p for 25, use five down each side of the glazed piece, if it's a windy spot back the clips up with this http://www.duckproducts.com/products/detail.asp?catid=1&subid=1&plid=536 also from Wilko.

If you want to stop the glazing steaming up put the Duck tape over the open edge to seal it.

The glazing is very tough, don't be afraid to bang it into the hole, it will rest against the rubber beading, make sure the metal clips are all fitted and hooked over the lip on the top and bottom of the hole, then fit the wire clips.

Then repeat until finished, Gardman do some finials for the roof which make it look nice too.

    Good Luck

No I don't work for Gardman but my kid brother is in a position of power there, he still charged me for the blinkin g'hse though !

Oh that's excellent, thank you both so much :A

I take it those pics are from the outside Alan?

I'd completely forgotten that there's also a parcel of green rails to somehow include in the installation <gulp> :rotfl:

Ah well, me thinks I will come back to this with a clearer head (I succumbed to that lovely cold bottle of wine chilling in the fridge whilst lapping up the sun's rays in the garden this afternoon ;) ) and pray we have more good weather this week to get on with it.

Certainly a great start to BST anyhow! :D

PS Ermmmmm just realised that I've only left a very small gap between the fence and one side of the greenhouse which is going to cause me lots of fun and games getting the glazing in if it needs to be done from outside  :o

Yes they are from outside. Mine is against the side of the house and its quite possible for 2 people to lift it and move it over and back again to glaze the side - at least thats what i did. Best if its not clamped down to the base though. I am now off for a glass myself ;)
