NI MOT rules are slightly different - their 1st MOT is due on it's 4th birthday, unlike here on mainland its 3rd birthday. As for your original question, I'm not too sure, sorry...0

Yes you can MOT an english car in NI and the NI MOT is acceptable on mainland for taxing but not sure if it is able to be taxed online. Best check with VOSA as to whether the MOt will go onto the online database, on 0870 6060 440. HTHx* Rainbow baby boy born 9th August 2016 *
