Why?

Why was the "Who owns the house" thread locked?

Probably to save us from ourselves.
Sometimes the original point of the thread gets either lost along the way or hi-jacked by people with polar-opposed strong feelings.
Time to get into a Zen frame of mind - like when you've just missed the train by 10 seconds and will have to wait 30 minutes for the next. No point screaming 'what might have been'. Accept - do yoga exercises in your head and smile.

Mind you, having said that, it's tough on the OP if they didn't get their query answered.

In that particular thread it is impossible for the OP's Mum to get a definitive answer from this forum.
She will have to get her Will explained to her.
Seeing what her priorities are, I am relatively confident that if she reads the thread, even if her Will happened to be unsuitable ( although I'm optimistic for her), she will have sufficient knowledge to achieve her objective with a new Will.

Well, I had down loaded the TIC form and was in the process of filling it, the question I had was regarding the letter Husband and wife need to sign. MargareteClare mentioned some where the cost of £10, which will save me the hastle, does any one know the link?

Next thing is to incorporate the TIC into a Will, with 'life time interest of the surviving partner with full control over the property' as downsizing is almost a must.

I was hoping to pick up all these tips from the thread. It will be most appreciated if someone can help.

    Thanks in anticipation.

But you can still read the thread - it's there - you just can't reply to it.
