how do i make a desktop shortcut , vista

ive just downloaded the newer version of itunes and the desktop link doesnt work
i can click on it in the start menu and it works...so can i just make a new shortcut somehow and delete the old one

Open using the start menu and find Itunes.
Right-click the item, click Send To, and then click Desktop (create shortcut). The shortcut icon appears on your desktop.
Job done.
