Sunday 30/03/08 What small dfw thing have you done today???

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging the washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.

Today I have /will
  • Checked online banking -
  • Done clicks
  • Storecupboard meals
  • Do some work on veggie patch- weather too wet yesterday
  • Make a loaf in breadmaker
  • Do some drilling in DD tack room myself to save paying odd job man to do it.
  • Cook for oldies and eat for free tonight:D plus use leftovers for soup/stock/sandwiches:D
  • Woke to an envelope with £20 in as won bonus ball at work:D (going to start my April challenge with that)
Have a good Sunday everyone:j :j

MOrning; I very rarely post on here but come into work to get stuff done and a break is needed! I have finally remembered to bring in 2 bras (which didn't fit) and the receipt from ASDA to get a refund. £14 due back which should pay for packed lunch ingredients for this week.

Morning Sophiesmum and all that follow

    Today I:
    * am working an extra shift
    * am gonna use the free bus pass to get there and back (weather permitting!)
    * will get a roast dinner for free whilst there (well I am cooking it!)
    * will keep a diary of the events of the day, according to the advice of the area manager (doesn't sound very DFW but it is when put into context)
    * have a tidy up when I get back in and 30 degree washing
    * have an early night

Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.

had a very productive day so far...

    claimed £15 from cashback site
    claimed £5 from survey site
organised trade in of 2 old mobiles quoted £36 but it may be stretching the truth to say they are fully functional but hey any offer is better than nothing.. and registered through cashback site so there is an extra £3.60!
    done some clicking
will be collecting another order for Avon (its my first campaign)
on friday bought a set of clippers from tesco £25 reduced to £17 which will use tonight on OH saving £8 at barbers!

i think i might just be getting the hang of this Money saving thing. it took 15 years of marriage to create the hole hoping it wont take that long to fill it in again!!!
