Need a good bookshop in Cardiff, near Lakeland

we are just back. DH says he is completely worn out, and HE didn't make the trip back to the car from Lakeland laden with three huge bags of bargains! Because having spent SO long in Lakeland, I thought it best to send him off in search of more bookshops while I did the car trip. He just doesn't have the stamina.

The trip was worth it for Lakeland alone. I foolishly tried to tell DH that I was saving us money by coming because if I'd done an online order I'd have had to spend £45 so as not to pay postage, but it didn't work, we spent a bit more than that, but lots of it was things from the Clearance floor I wouldn't have been able to get online, including a clothes airer for £3.95! And they have comfy chairs on each floor, so I left him reading his book while I browsed, and browsed, and browsed ...

There are still bookshops to explore: in the end we were only there for the afternoon. But I've made up for Walsall!

Lovely pasties for lunch, then we had evening meal in Pillars restaurant. Not the most romantic venue, but good honest food at reasonable prices, quiet and cool inside, which was what we were both ready for ...
