Hi,
Can anyone well-versed in psych stats help me with understanding what inferential tests test for?
e.g. the t-tests, Wilcoxon, and Mann Whitney U test?
Whenever it come to writing a conclusion, I am stumped?
Do the t-tests tests for a statistically sig difference between the means of a bimodal distibution? I'm confused about how a conclusion would be phrased- and writing the non-parametric tests' conclusions.
Can anyone be of help?

Hugh Coolican's books in psych statistics are all amazing - they tell you what to write practically word-for-word. You can find them at most libraries, if not, they are cheap on Amazon and will last you throughout your degree. I would not recommend using the internet when it comes to inferential stats as most are not directed at psych students and can be v. confusing. This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
