Heathrow - Short term Parking for Drop off/Pick up

Hermann

I need to drop off DS at Heathrow Terminal 1 and meet up with others there so will be staying for an hour or two.
Also need to pick up again a week later!

Does anyone know what parking is available and what it costs?

Are there any cheap car parks with shuttle buses?

Haven't been to Heathrow for years so would appreciate any tips.

Dropping off is not a problem outside the terminal but you will be pushed along if you stay longer than it takes to get the luggage out of the car. Short term car parking is not a problem you take a ticket and pay for your time on exit...sorry cannot remember how much but I am sure it will be on the airport website.

I used PurpleParking for Heathrow, I think it was about £60 for a week. Had no problems with their service and they have a shuttle bus for each terminal every 15 mins but I know there have been a lot of bad press about these places so be careful when using one.

I parked in the short stay car park last week for from 14.10 til 15.55 and I was charged £7.40 at the machine.
