  • Hi, does anybody know if you can do risotto in slow cooker? Do you use less stock and put on low, for how long? Making it for tea today and was looking for easy option. I know you can do in oven. And if you can does that mean you can do rice pudding? Yum yum.
    Thanks

I wouldnt be sure on risotto in the SC and we don't have any older threads discussing it, so I've merged this with the risotto thread so you can read back and see if there has been any previous discussion.

    This thread
will help re rice pudding in the slow cooker :)

You can make risotto in the slow cooker - in the pressure cooker too.

    Slow cooker : For four
250 g rice and 1.3 litres of stock. Bring to boil first then cook for about 2 hours on LOW>

    Pressure Cooker: For Four
250g rice and 700ml of stock. Up to pressure, cook for seven minutes and done.

Both work - but the pressure cooker is a bit better texture in my opinion.
