A well worded, factual and polite reply to the neg on your feedback page, and a similar follow-up comment on their page, will show other members the truth.
Walk away wearing a neg from an idiot like a badge of pride, safe in the knowledge that you have risen above them. Remember, never argue with a fool, they will drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -

Everyone gets the odd neg now and then, just forget about it and move on."Love you Dave Brooker! x"

It is possible to have them removed, first try Filing for a Mutual Feedback Withdrawal & then if that doesn't work report it to eBay for removal.
If all fails you can pay Squaretrade £10 to have it removed0 -

Squaretrade don't always succeed though. My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
And ebay's removal system are crap. I can have a neg removed if it mentions a Paypal dispute but not if it's damaging to my character, how does that work?"Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."

People will see it was from a fool. They will look accross vast fields of your positive feedback and see one silly neg. Dont worry about it mate

You have to laugh when you look at some of her feedback... Looks like she has bought an item of clothing and left neutral feedback, stating:
"Item arrived obviously not size on label"
The seller has then replied by way of a negative feedback stating:
"You paid 10p yes 10p for a designer label clearly size 6 what a stupid remark!!"
To which the buyer again follows up with:
"may have said six it was not a six and paid £5 postage yes £5"
Oh, don't you just love 'em! This has made my day.0 -
I brought a telephone off ebay last year. I was only about £5 so no great deal.
However after 3 weeks it didn't turn up, I had no response from the seller, but he gave me a refund, saying it wasn't in stock.
Well I was annoyed, but I didn't leave negative feedback. I left a neutral saying no product, but refund given. I figured I couldn't give a positive as I never recieved the item and the communication was dire.
And then later that day he left me a negative - saying "Buyer was refunded after stock error but left neutral Why?"
So of course I responded in kind - and said something like "seller shouldn't offer goods for sale that are not avaliable, neg unfair" - or something to those words.
I wouldn't have minded a neutral, but since then I've started trading as a business seller, although I don't sell much, but it's still put my 100% feedback down to 99.6%, so I completely understand how frustrating it is when people leave you feed back the is completely uncalled for!0 -
My mum has just left a neutral for a buyer, who took a dispute and 4 weeks to pay - then paid by e-cheque.
Strangely enough the buyer has left her a neg for being "damaged in transit", even though the e-cheque has not cleared yet, and the goods are still sat in her house...
Some people eh? eBay could do without them.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0
