World Books - enought said ??

Fairly new to this site but thought I'd share this with the aim of stopping anyone else being stuck in the same way!
I ordered a DVD set for £130 from World Books on 3rd December as my hubby's xmas prezzie. They had said that I needed to order by 17th December to get delivery by xmas so I thought I was in plenty of time.
By 15th December I still hadn't received it but was assured by their CS staff that it was on its way. It didn't arrive by xmas which left me rather in a pickle so I had to get an emergency alternative on 24th Dec for hubby.
To cut a (very long) story a bit shorter, I called several times to see where this DVD set was - first it was delivered, then it hadn't been despatched, then they couldn't tell me as my account was locked, then it was in transit - not bad for one small parcel in a 2 week period! They finally sent me a claim form in Feb for non-delivery which I sent back to get a replacement item sent (not seen this DVD set anywhere else at the time). They won't send a claim form until 28 days have elapsed from when they think they've despatched the item I've found.
Feb came and went with the same sorts of shenanigans. This replacement parcel was also winging its way around some sort of parallel universe where it could be despatched, in transit and in the warehouse all at the same time! Another claim form was sent and duly completed (another 28 day wait). This time I wanted to cancel the order but was told by their CS that I couldn't do that as they had already organised a replacement to be sent again so I would have to wait for that to arrive and send it back!
By now it was April and hubby's birthday so I bought similar sets of DVD's from amazon to equate to this one from world books and gave him those for his b'day. Also no sign of the 3rd replacement item from world books.... (Amazon's arrived 2 days after ordering)
Now it is the middle of May and I have been in regular contact with WB about this issue but am getting nowhere. A knock on my door presents a courier with a box from world books! The DVD's have finally arrived 5 months after ordering!!!! Now begins the long process of trying to return the DVDs. It took 3 weeks to get a returns label and another 28 days wait for them to be able to tell me if they had received the return. It also went missing so it seems like someone somewhere was stockpiling this DVD set!
Many, many more claim forms and hassle later and I finally got my refund (credit to my account as luckily you don't pay on WB when you order) last week - a whopping 8 months after placing my original order!!! :T
Watch out for this you guys...

I wouldn't deal with the company that owns World Books. Their CS is appaling, even if you manage to speak to a human being and not a computer. I have found them to be rude and arrogant. Steer clear of them. You will receive books you never ordered and those you do order you will end up paying more for them in the long run.0
