(Especially for Meyore) The Sock Thread (Part 1 of 296)

I've got a few pairs of socks with a day of the week on them. Sometimes I like to confuse people and wear "wednesdays" socks on thursday.
(Glad I got that off my chest!)
:rotfl: sometimes wishful thinking.... lolProud to have dealt with with my debts
Debt free from 18th March 2013, long may it continue!0 -
why thankyou SockMeister Steve!
Have to confess, I do feel I'm a bit of a sockophobe.
I've always hated seeing women wear ankle socks, trainers and a skirt. As a child, I used to detest being sent to school in ankle socks, shoes and a skirt. I felt as if my legs were shortened by the whole 'look'.:rotfl:
Whenever I see the opening scene of Working Girl, I want to scream at Melanie Griffiths as she walks to work - get those bloody ankle socks off - wear the trainers, yes, but stop the whole sock thing!
suffice to say i don't own a single sock... please don't make me wear them.. :rotfl:Proud to have dealt with with my debts

No I'm strictly against forced sock-wearing. Just say no.0 -
Just for you Meyore.
In light of a recent thread about pointless threads...
How many pairs of socks do you all have? What colours are they? Don't you get annoyed when you can only find one out of a particular pair of socks?
But most importantly...
How have socks helped you on your quest to become debt-free?Grocery challenge june £300/ £211-50.

Sharing socks? Surely there'd be some hygiene issue there!0 -

I have many socks! Some have friends.....some do not, they wander around the washing basket like a horse that's lost it's rider. Sometimes I hear them cry at night.
...Linda xxIt's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0
