I've got a few pairs of socks with a day of the week on them. Sometimes I like to confuse people and wear "wednesdays" socks on thursday.

(Glad I got that off my chest!)

    :rotfl: sometimes wishful thinking.... lol

ahhhhh but did you wear an odd pair ;)
Oh yes. As was the fashion at the time.

(I also had shoes with flourescent laces, but that's a bit off topic)

    why thankyou SockMeister Steve!

Have to confess, I do feel I'm a bit of a sockophobe.

I've always hated seeing women wear ankle socks, trainers and a skirt. As a child, I used to detest being sent to school in ankle socks, shoes and a skirt. I felt as if my legs were shortened by the whole 'look'.:rotfl:

Whenever I see the opening scene of Working Girl, I want to scream at Melanie Griffiths as she walks to work - get those bloody ankle socks off - wear the trainers, yes, but stop the whole sock thing!
lol i went through the same trauma... that and the really long white socks in winter..

suffice to say i don't own a single sock... please don't make me wear them.. :rotfl:

No I'm strictly against forced sock-wearing. Just say no.

    Just for you Meyore.

In light of a recent thread about pointless threads...

How many pairs of socks do you all have? What colours are they? Don't you get annoyed when you can only find one out of a particular pair of socks?

    But most importantly...

How have socks helped you on your quest to become debt-free?

:rotfl: I meant once I had took the trouble to wash, dry and attempt to pair them up. The only way I can wash hubby's is to grab a towel and sort of bundle the socks up and shake into the machine without actually touching them:eek: cos they stink the bedroom out:rotfl:

I have many socks! Some have friends.....some do not, they wander around the washing basket like a horse that's lost it's rider. Sometimes I hear them cry at night.

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.
