turned down by hsbc, i want to re-apply

hiya,

I applied to hsbc credit card a while ago.I earn ok money and have a couple of credit cards.I have only ever made a late payment once on a credit card, and now pay off my credit cards every month.

I've never been late with a mortgage payment.

When I applied to hsbc, the site crashed before I could I examine why I had been knocked back.I didn't get an mail notification, so I'm none the wiser.

I think the reason i was knocked back was because i had started a new job.
Would i be better waiting until i've been in the job for 6 months, and also dich one of the credit cards before I apply?

I really fancy the 12 months interest free.

Any advice appreciated,

many thanks,

yogi

If the website crashed during your application then it is unlikely to have gone through. It wouldn't hurt to re-apply now (or whenever the website is fixed). Good luck!

P.S. don't ditch ur card, unless u have lots of unused credit - they'd still be able to see the card u've just ditched anyway (at least for another 6 yrs)

    hiya,

ta for the rely. No,it definitely knocked me back.I rememeber the explicit message stating that my allication was unsuccessful.

Do you think I should still re-apply? Or wait till i'm in the job 6 months?

..I don't want to start racking up a bad credit score because of multiple nockbacks..

There's no point in re-applying to the same lender straight away.

Btw, I can recommend the Halifax Purchase card ;)

    hiya,

Yes, and yes. The cashback came through quickly, as well.

Barclays have now taken over Goldfish and the cashback has now been withdrawn. However if you got in just before the withdrawl they *should* still honour it.

The "no £41.00 cashback offer" is for brand new customers only.
    Best Regards,
