Statements from last 5 years?

My wife just got a job with acertain bank. They say they need to see bank statements for the last 5 years. We're fine for the last 4 years, but the previous ones are now closed. She went to the Halifax yesterday who have traced the account and requested statements. Should there be any problem retrieving them, statements for any other closed accounts?closed

No shouldn't be, they are help for 6 yrs-which bank is it because i'm now with my 3rd bank and I may be able to give her some help and advice! And what role purely out of interest!

I wonder if the banks ask to see the last 5 years' statements for the offshore/swiss bank accounts held by some of their senior executives? :rolleyes:

I was going to say!!! What sort of bank asks you for such information ? Think I got my answer.
