Afternoon all,
This is my first post on the site, so I'll start with a commendation to Martin and rest of you who provide the information to make this such a valuable resource.
I have a simple problem for whic I can't find a reasonably priced solution; my car insurance expires in April and I need insurance for 3 months only as I'm leaving the country. All insurers offer a pay monthly option but this is just financing a 12 month packages.
The only solutions I can find are eCar who want to charge £103/month (my current policy is £45/month) or the Norwich Union pay as you drive (satellite tracked) option which I'm a bit reticent of given I don't want to install a massive unit in the car - they quote about £30/month.
Has anyone got any experience on this front or know of a better way I can get insurance for a short period?
Thanks, Gav

Hi there
I've been with Norwich Union PAYD, to be honest it isn't a massive unit. It's all hidden so not an eyesore either.
30 a month seems fair but don't forget you'll have to pay the cancellation charge which is 30.45 I believe. sorry i can't help further.0 -

I gave them a call, no dice: their policy is monthly direct debit of the annual scheme.
Thanks for the tip though!0
