I would contact HSBC and request the information.
You need agreement no and the provider of the ppi.
I am a former Broker, former IFA and former compliance officer, for my sins.

However, I have since seen the light.

would they still give me this information even though i have 2 payments left to make
  • I took out PPI when I got a £5k loan several years ago. I struggled with the repayments and the loan was changed to a "managed loan". This combined my original loan along with the ppi which was included in the total amount and my credit card bill.
I was made redundant in November and decided to make use of the ppi that I had taken out. I was then informed that the managed loan was not covered by ppi and that there was nothing they could do. How do I find out how much I paid in ppi and do I have a good case for getting it back.

Again paolo, SARN the lender and request a copy of the agreement and the transaction history. This should give you all the information you require.

I think this is a despicable practice. Just simply taking advantage of someone when they are down.

Sneddy, as you are still paying the loan they will have to provide you with the information when requested.

petermb talks a lot about everything being illegal but to be honest I can't remember a single one where his comments have been confirmed by a poster or any poster that has followed his lead.

i would like to add a quick comment if i can, peter is helping me at present and i have found him to be very knowledgeable and helpful, as he says his services are free of charge so what have people got to lose

I've had home insurance for many years and never claimed - I'm going to try and reclaim the premiums.

:rotfl: Maybe you were mis-sold as you did not have a house? :D

I think it is important for people to fully read Martins pages on PPI. The insurance is not necessarily a bad thing to have and I only have sympathy for people that have been genuinely mis-sold as they have been ripped off.
    PPI Reclaimed -
    DFS £345.70 :D
