I wish you lived in Wales too! Altho I'd consider moving to get those prices you got at the Asian supermarket! :T

Just by looking at your pics of your baking we'd be beating a path to your door very regularly....;)

Quinoa's just gone up to 1.89 per 500g on Asda site, it's like they're watching us:eek:, and a penny a kilo extra on smart price rice

JeniD, Richard Mabey sounds good, I'll add him to the books I'm going to camp out and read at ceridwen's :D. Which other carbs did you want me to compare for you?

Bit stressed at present as have job interview (for temp post where I work at the mo.) We're all internal, so inevitable slight awkwardness around who gets and who doesn't get it.

Wish it was going to involve questions about nutrition! I'd blabber on for hours :rotfl:

I'm revising for it at the mo. Allegedly!

aww shaz - noone wanted to make you feel left out :( sorry if I did...I remember when I moved to Wales about 14 years ago (time really does fly!!) and it rained solid for 2 week & I had to buy a coat - never had to when I lived in London. Was thoroughly miserable! It literaly didnt stop. Not even once!
Weezl if you want any top tips for interview let me know (part of my job is to interview people!)...
There is a local shop where you may be able to get cheapie spices - I saw one at work & it was bargainous & the one near is is very near you I think...mind you the bags of spices & lentils are huge! You could be your very own hot air balloon and you'd have to increase the loo paper allowances (5 sheets each?!!) me thinks!!

Lucky guess?! You seem like you always have on hand a variety of rivetin' reads...

I shall certainly attempt all of those.

    Knotweed curry anyone?

If only the USDA food database listed the full nutritional profile of the knotweed... then we'd be rocking!!
